Moving to Virtual School Counseling

During this COVID-19/Corona Virus pandemic, we understand this may be a stressful time for our students and their families. In this new setting, the Auburndale Intermediate School Counseling Department wants to make sure we continue to support students and their parents. Under the American School Counseling Association virtual counseling guidelines, it is important that we communicate the expectations and limitations of providing virtual school counseling. School counselors have the responsibility to support all students in academic and social/emotional development that would still emulate school counseling that would take place in a face-to-face environment. Virtual school counseling is a way to reach a diverse student set, to help students meet their potential and have an impact on their learning in a way they may not receive in a traditional face-to-face school environment.

With that being said, for your convenience, we have created the Auburndale Virtual School Counseling Request form , for students, parents, and Auburndale staff members. Please feel free to submit a request for virtual school counseling support. Also below you will find more information about the counseling department such as the new office hours, contact phone numbers, and email addresses. Again, please feel free to reach out to your school counselors using any of the methods provided as needed.

**If you or someone you know is in immediate crisis, then please contact 911**
